The Mable Shaw Girls Secondary School has taken a significant step towards improving student welfare with the procurement of 200 new mattresses for its learners.
According to the Head Teacher, Mr. Mulambi Nelson, the initiative is aimed at enhancing the comfort and well-being of pupils at the school, which is located in Mbereshi Mission.
Speaking on the development, Mr. Nelson emphasized that the purchase reflects the school’s commitment to creating a conducive learning and living environment for the girls.
Meanwhile, the Area Councillor for Mbereshi Ward urged the pupils to take good care of the newly acquired mattresses.
She encouraged the learners to guard the mattresses jealously, noting that such investments are meant to benefit them and future generations of students.
In the same vein, the School Chaplain expressed gratitude to the school management for their collective effort in making the procurement possible.
She commended the teamwork demonstrated by the administration, stating that such unity is key to achieving meaningful development within the institution.
