CHILANGA – 30-01-2026: The United Church of Zambia (UCZ) held its Synod Staff retreat to set the Church ‘s priorities in response to the social and economic challenges of the institution.
The retreat held in Chilanga was themed “Changing the narrative.”
And Rev.Moses Gondwe of UCZ Chilanga congregation in his speech reminded staff to manage time within God’s calling.
“God calls us within a given time and we must be mindful of how we use this time,”he echoed.
He said all employees are trusted and called by God in their respective positions.
Retired UCZ Vice chancellor Rev.Dr.Kapembwa Kondolo also encouraged Synod staff to uphold principles of Corporate governance by embracing the All One in Christ Tagline.
Rev.Dr. Kondolo emphasised the need for inclusiveness and participation of all employees in the growth of the Church.
Motivational Speaker and Entrepreneur Dumisani Ncube is among speakers expected to give an address during the retreat which is expected to close this afternoon.
This year’s retreat calls for staff to rise to a higher level of spiritual maturity and professional excellence, recognizing that their positions exist not for personal gain but to serve God’s people and transform the church’s witness and sustainability.
